The lady from Wales, Diana Rhodes, and her guest gave an extremely interesting illustrated talk, to one of the largest groups Lynn had ever hosted. They showed slides of a sacred site in Wales and also scenes of the Native American Sundance tradition. Diana explained that a dream and a vision had inspired her to create a movement to help heal the centuries old rift between the Native American and Celtic peoples by bringing the Sundance ceremony to a Celtic land. The principle sounded amazing, a wonderful opportunity to help heal cultural differences and historic mistakes. However, in the ensuing months, Native American elders decided that the Sundance should not be taken off American soil and certainly not performed outside the U.S.A. |

People on both sides of the pond discussed ideas at length because by now many, many groups around the world had become inspired by the idea. The notion that we could learn to appreciate one another's culture and traditions where two lands had been opposed and heal the rift was very appealing. So it was agreed that the network of groups would gather on their respective lands in the spirit of the Sundance on a day in August that year, for Peace celebrations. Those who chose to would travel to Wales to join Diana's main group but in Cornwall we decided to hold a week long celebration honouring the spirit of the whole concept. Diana was given the symbol of the Seed of Life (found etched on an Egyptian tomb) as the representation of the many groups gathering for one purpose and the Seed of Life Foundation www.sol-star.demon.co.uk was formed. |

Here in Cornwall, the group of friends decided to meet on land near Trencrom for their celebration. They were to create a symbol on the land and hold it sacred for many gatherings and ceremonies to come. The original week in August '98 consisted of daily workshops and meditations focussed on learning about the Native American and Celtic customs. Each event held the intent of respect and forgiveness, finding peace in the discovery of one another's culture and customs - not so much a difference but often similarities. Lynn and other members of the group held workshops on making talking sticks, creating medicine wheels - both Native American and Celtic, sacred weaving and learning the customs and traditions which went with them. The week culminated in the entire group meeting to dig out the symbol of the Seed of Life from the turf in the field where they had been meeting. Then a sacred ceremony was created to dedicate the land for Peace and Unity, Healing and Learning for all who gathered there. A pledge was made to meet regularly on the Celtic festivals and hold ceremony in respect of healing the land and its peoples. The group have been meeting ever since and for the first five years, with the blessing and help of the landowner, Lynn facilitated every ceremony. "The group just gathered every six weeks or so. We never knew how many would come, sometimes a dozen, sometimes fifty!" Now, each ceremony is facilitated by a different member of the group and the theme is taken from the Celtic calendar (see diagram). |

| Prior to performing the first ceremony, Hamish
Miller, one of the founders of the group, dowsed the field where the Seed
symbol was to be cut, to find the energy centre. A small spiral was discovered
which became the epicentre of the symbol. Since then, Hamish has dowsed
the energy of the site on many occasions. It seems that every time ceremony
is held there, the energy increases. In fact the energy patterns have changed
so much, we now know that it is the Earth responding to our gathering in
a sacred way. She is acknowledging our conscious efforts and giving us feedback
in a symbolic way we can recognise. So now we have direct communication
between the group and the Earth!! |

Over the years the group have been guided to visit various places around the country, to perform ceremony and link in with the Seed and other Seed groups around the world. We know this has made a difference and a contribution to the Earth's Lightgrid and Ascension process. Many spiritual teachers have visited the site, contributing to its growing importance and energy and to the knowledge of the group as a whole. We have linked in with other significant projects and sites, creating a link between the stone carriers of many traditions and our own travellers from the Seed. Lynn has now been inspired to create a new body of work (see Sacred
Circles ) which builds on her & terry's experiences with the
Seed group. It will develop a process which helps further heal the land
and its peoples, offering everyone an opportunity to assist their ascension. |
